Krystal Ortiz is a seasoned operative with a decade of experience in political strategy, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making. She has dedicated her career to electing leaders who understand and reflect the communities they represent.
Most recently, Krystal served on the Harris for President campaign political team, advising on battleground state political operations, stakeholder engagement, and surrogate deployment. Previously, Krystal was the Director of Political Engagement in the White House Office of Political Strategy and Outreach. In that role, she helped plan and execute President Biden’s political engagements, managed principal endorsements, and maintained relationships with key elected officials, party leaders, and movement allies. Her earlier roles include leading strategic research at Normington Petts & Associates, advising campaigns and nonprofits at NEWCO Strategies, and working on independent expenditures at EMILY’s List. She also ran a successful re-election campaign for a progressive Cambridge city councilor.
Krystal began her career on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. She is originally from Long Island, New York and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard University.
